I’m a self taught artist working in multiple mediums to capture my surroundings. My media of choice is currently acrylic, oils, gouache, and color pencil. I love painting from life, photo reference, en plein air, and urban sketching.

As an engineering graduate from the University of Central Florida, I’ve worked over 25 years as an engineer but always returned to my creative joys of drawing and painting. I enjoy creating large and small scale paintings, primarily using a flat brush to apply strokes of color. As the composition evolves, I emphasize the color variations, reflections, and shadows of the objects or subjects. My paintings focus on the beauty we interact with but may not slow down to experience. In my current series of large-scale acrylic paintings, I zoom-in on bold and colorful whole foods we see in our daily lives, providing viewers a beautiful glimpse of a moment they may otherwise miss.
